Increasing security: SU installs walk-through gate

SU vice chancellor requested political parties to not allow students to carry weapons.

HYDERABAD: To improve security, the Sindh University has installed a walk-through gate at the entrance of its arts faculty building, which houses almost half of the university’s students. Last week, three students, two of whom were shot, were injured after a fight broke out in the faculty’s canteen. SU vice chancellor Dr Nazir A Mughal requested political parties to not allow students to carry weapons.
