FIR registration: Judge directs woman to approach SHO

The judge directed the SHO to proceed in accordance with the law.

LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Malik Tariq Mehmood Zargham directed a woman on Monday to approach the relevant SHO for registration of an FIR. The petitioner said she had started working as a maid this year in Salim’s* house. She said that on December 15, 2012, Salim’s son Haider* raped her and then detained her for several days. She said it was only when her health deteriorated that her mother was called. The woman said she told her mother about the rape and they went to the Factory Area Station House Officer to register an FIR. However, the SHO refused to listen to them, she added. The judge directed the petitioner to visit the SHO and the SHO to proceed in accordance with the law.
