Disaster preparedness: Rescue 1122 makes Christmas plan
Rescue 1122 staff will remain on red alert from 10pm on December 24 to December 25 midnight.

Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) has formulated a disaster emergency plan for Christmas. Divisional Emergency Officer Malik Asif Rahim Channar met representatives of Christian community in Model Town’s A-block. In the meeting on Friday special arrangements for Christmas were finalised. Channar said Rescue staff would be stationed near churches with ambulances and fire brigades. Special coverage will be given to the Saint Dominic Church, Pakistan Church at Islami Colony, Ibne Maryam Catholic Church in Islami Colony and Cantonment Church. Rescue 1122 staff will remain on red alert from 10pm on December 24 to December 25 midnight.
