Bomb blast: House of retired FC official targeted

Wazir said that Gul has no personal disputes with anyone nor did he receive any threats from militant groups.

JAMRUD: The house of a former Frontier Corps (FC) official, Fateh Gul, was destroyed when a bomb planted by unidentified assailants by the boundary wall went off in Ghundai area of tehsil Jamrud, Khyber Agency on Wednesday. Gul told the political administration official Asmatullah Wazir that he and his family woke up to a huge explosion, which occurred around 4am, adding that the wall of his house and the storeroom was completely destroyed, while a bedroom was partially destroyed. All family members present in the house are safe and no human loss was reported. Following the incident, neighbours and residents reached Gul’s house and helped remove the debris that resulted from the explosion. Wazir said that Gul has no personal disputes with anyone nor did he receive any threats from militant groups. No one has claimed responsibility for the blast as yet.
