Balochistan unrest: Quetta blast leaves 3 injured

Chief Minister of Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani condemned the blast.

At least three people were injured in a bomb blast on Jan Muhammad Road on Friday. According to the bomb disposal squad, around four to five kilogrammes of explosive material were used.


Constable Nasrullah told The Express Tribune that the bomb was planted in a garbage can. Police rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area and shifted the injured to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for treatment.

The injured were identified as a Mazhar Saeed, Awais Khan and Mazhar Hussain. A doctor said that Saeed is in critical condition.

Chief Minister of Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani condemned the blast and ordered Home Secretary Akber Hussain Durrani to investigate the incident and submit a report as soon as possible. The chief minister announced that the government of Balochistan will bear the full expenditure for the treatment of the victims.
