Road accidents: Cop among three killed, four injured

MANSEHRA: Three persons including a police constable were killed and four others sustained injuries in separate accidents on Thursday. The police said a truck loaded with broilers was going to Mansehra when it plunged into a ravine while negotiating a blind turn near Kareez village at Pattan Tehsil of Kohistan. As a result, two persons were killed. Their bodies were taken to Pattan hospital where the deceased were identified as Khursheed — who was driving the vehicle — and Sadaqat Ali. Both of them belonged to Tambah, Shinkiari. Meanwhile, a police van collided with a truck coming from the opposite side near Chanjal, Battagram. As a result, the driver and a police constable Haji Sarfraz were killed on the spot while two personnel of Frontier Constabulary and two head constables of Kohistan Police were critically injured.
