Legal action will be taken against duty officers and SHOs who delay the registration of FIRs, said Sindh Inspector General of Police Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari on Tuesday. The department will also take action against any duty officer, roznamicha muharar, head muharar or SHO found guilty, he added. Police stations should be made citizen-friendly and the spirit of serving people should be shown there, he said, suggesting that the subject of community policing should be included in the police training syllabus.
