Murder: Constable kills friend in drunken brawl

MULTAN: A police constable killed his friend, allegedly while he was drunk. Alpa SHO told The Express Tribune that Ijaz was a constable in the Elite Force. He said Ijaz and a few other men had been drinking with 29-year-old Qaiser when Ijaz and Qaiser had an argument. The argument led to a fight between the two, during which Ijaz beat Qaiser up with the help of some other men. As a result Qaiser died. Ijaz has been arrested, said the SHO, adding that another Elite Force official had been injured in the brawl. He said police had been deputed at the hospital to ensure he does not escape.
