Protest: Punjab Bar Council on strike today
Strike to protest the armed attack on Advocate Masood Abid Naqvi near the Lahore High Court.

The Punjab Bar Council (PBC) has announced a complete strike on Wednesday (today) to protest the armed attack on Advocate Masood Abid Naqvi near the Lahore High Court. Police said that Naqvi was intercepted by unidentified men on Farid Kot Road in Mozang who shot and injured him. He was rushed to a local hospital where his condition was said to be precarious. In a statement issued on Tuesday, PBC Vice Chairman Ghulam Abbas Nassoana strongly condemned the attack on Naqvi and said the government had failed to protect lawyers.
