Inflation: Index down 0.03% during week
SPI for combined groups is down by 0.02%; down from 187.26 points in the previous week to 187.23 points this week.

The Sensitive Price Indicator (SPI), for the week ended November 29 has registered a decrease of 0.03% over the previous week for the lowest income group. The SPI for the week under review for the above mentioned group was recorded at 181.66 points against 181.71 points registered in the previous week, according provisional figures from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The SPI for combined groups was down by 0.02%; down from 187.26 points in the previous week to 187.23 points this week. Compared to the corresponding week last year, the SPI for combined groups inflated 6.82%. During the week under review, average prices of indexed items changed as follows: 15 items registered a decrease, 22 items increased and the remaining 16 items’ prices remained unchanged.
