KARACHI: Four people, three reportedly belonging to the Mohajir Qaumi Movement, were gunned down on Thursday in Mansehra Colony of Karachi, Express News reported.
According to Express News correspondent Wasiq Muhammad, the deceased were on board a taxi, which stopped for refueling at a petrol pump near National Highway.
Four unidentified gunmen on two motorcycles surrounded the car and opened fire on it. Two people died on the spot, while the other two were moved to Civil Hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.
The deceased were identified as Abdul Ali, Zafar and Qadir, while the taxi driver could not be identified.
SSP Malir, Jam Darmani, said that the suspects had adorned police caps and were aged between 20 to 30 years.
The police recovered about 15 shells fired from a 9mm from the site. According to the police, the party members were shot in the head, chest and arms.
The police added that it was a planned attacked.
Later during the day, a man identified as Dr Iqbal was shot dead along with a woman when he was passing through Sachal Goth in his car.
Two other people were gunned down in the Baldia Town area taking the death toll of people killed in Karachi on Thursday to eight.
Police has claimed to have arrested 25 suspects during several raids and recovered weapons from them.

Why no terrorist has ever been shot on the spot by police or ranger? Those who have no regard for human life should be killed to clean this menace from society.

I only feel and pray for the Taxi driver while the others will be honoured with a title “Shaheed” by their party and they will go to Jannah straightaway...May Allah Taala help the family of the deceased taxi driver in this tough time! and I pray that Allah Taala give these political parties hidaayat! I don't know what happened to Pakistan, but certainly not Pakistan i grew up with and not a Pakistan where i would feel secure my family growing up.
