Ashura preparations: Private schools closed from Friday
In the past, public and private schools closed down for only two days, Muharram 9 and 10.
KARACHI:
Keeping in view the security of teachers, students and their parents, the two associations for most private schools in Karachi have announced to keep educational institutions closed from Friday, Muharram 8 till Sunday, Muharram 10. In the past, public and private schools closed down for only two days, Muharram 9 and 10, but “due to the current law and order situation, the parents and even teachers were feeling insecure,” said Syed Khalid Shah, the chairperson of All Private Schools Management Association.
