Police arrested 165 target killers in 2012: IG Sindh
Leghari was addressing a press conference in Hyderabad.
The IG said that interrogation of the arrested criminals has revealed information regarding more than 270 criminal cases – new and old.
“Many murder plans have also been detected,” he added.
Leghari said that the police has compiled a report about the steps taken to curb criminal activities and will submit it to the Supreme Court.
He said that the apex court’s orders with regard to Karachi violence have been followed.

We do not need numbers.... We need to know who are they? What are their names? For whom they are working for? And Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease dont say they all belong to TTP !!
Please don't tell us how many are arrested. Jail time is a vaccation time for them. Get rid of them and tell us the numbers only.
And how many extortionists & encroachers have been arrested?

So, who were they? What affiliation? Most places allow publishing of arrests in newspapers even before trial if they're over 18.
He many are tried in court? And how many are sentenced? If govt is not startingtrials then it's involved with these killers and protecting them.

Mr Leghari, Your departments have many short comings both in terms of honesty and skills, and more so in terms of resources, compensation and proper training. Many of your people are also directly involved in crimes. But inspite of all that you still manage to do some works such as this, we also regularly see that your people lose their lives in the line of duty just so they can protect some innocent citezen, sometimes we have also seen that your people identified the suicide bomber and intercepted him and gave their lives in order to save public lives. For all of that they deserve our respect and help, may Allah increase their taufeeq.
Unfortunately we don't see any of that from our courts who are much better positioned then you to dispense justice but we always see that they shy away from providing justice to terrorists. I understand that there is good possiblity that some or may many of these arrested people may be either completely innocent or not involved in as serious crimes as they are charged for. But I am sure that some of them must be involved as charged and more. I also understand that not all the cases will be prepared and presented correctly, but at lease some of them will be correct. But going by our courts record they will free all of them, and for that you and the brave police officer who arrested them deserve more sympathy as they will have to face the wrath of these criminals once they are freed.

Sorry sir, but I am not interested in your statistics. I'll only applaud your so-called number of target killers arrested once my fellow citizens stop getting killed / harassed / tortured / stuffed-in-gunny-bags / bullied / etc / etc (this list is non-exhaustive with negative words though)

Good Job! Please also arrest people who distributed over 300,000 weapons "not to be used at weddings" & conduct targeted operations against all banned organizations esp TTP. 99% of crime will drop in Karachi and hopefully things will return to normalcy like they were from 2002-2007.
And all 165 target killers were freed. Clap, clap, clap
