PTI will start speaking truth about PML-N when they stop lying about us: Javed Hashmi
Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, Hashmi said that the first party to start propaganda against PTI was Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) for which former PPP leader Naserullah Babar had apologised, “after knowing the reality.”
The PTI president said that PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif should first “reply like him” and then take part in elections.
He said that the national treasury was being used to win elections in Punjab, while Sharif never “spent a rupee” on the party.

Nearly all Noora league supporters did not understand what Hashmi said and started to comment on it.
I think Noora League supporters need a bit education. They should not forget that this man Hashmi gave sacrifices for PML(N) than more than any other PML(L) Main leader. He was the only leader who took responsibility to keep Party togerther while both Sharifs ran away from the country with their money. Otherwise today PML(N) would have been out of the politics. Hashmi went jail for the party but look what these noora Leagues did to him. They betrayed with him.
PTI is the only party which has already proved to be a true democratic by comencing intra party elections in Islammabad and gave chance to ordinary people and youth like you and me to become leader. Now they will be doing elections in all Pakistan. history will be written with golden words.
I dare to other parties including PPP, PML(N), ANP and MQM to have elections in their parties. They can't as then their party leaders son's,daughters and relatives will not able to come in power. That is not acceptable for them.

In other words, I will not say damaging truth about you if you stop falsely slandering me. What Hashmi saab appears to have said is " If you STOP saying lies about us we will START" saying the truth about you. If there was no error in translation, then this statement indeed is strange and not at all similar to the other ones you quoted. By saying that he will START saying the truth at some future date, it implies that he is lying right now.

I avoid pointing out errors in English because I myself am careless about proof reading and frequently my posts have typos. For all the people, who are drawing God knows what conclusions from the statement, following is the description of the phrase being used:
"If you don’t stop lying about me, I’ll start telling the truth about you” is used often in politics, usually credited to Adlai Stevenson (1900-1965) from a 1952 presidential stump speech. The line dates back to at least October 1888 and the presidential campaign between Grover Cleveland and Benjamin Harrison: “The Republicans at once accepted the proposition, and the Democrats agreed to stop lying about Harrison if the Republicans agreed to stop telling the truth about Cleveland.”
Both know each other inside-out. Hashmi was quiet as long as PML-N was quiet. After one has started talking, he has no choice but to expose the Sharifs as well. Either way it will help the Pakistani people seeing the true face of both of the "angels".

He wants to convey a very good message to PML (N): the message is, in my view, to stop lying all the time and in return we will appreciate your strength (there is any) from time to time and not highlight your weaknesses all the time but if and only if you stop your propaganda campaign against PTI ,which is touching heights these days.

Beisdes I think ET made a mistake in the headline (not for the first time). PML-N has a ferious propaganda machine who didn't even spare IK's personal life and took shots at his wife etc. We are muslims and Pakistanis and no mater what the issues are we spare the family --- unless ofcourse they are part of plundering the national money.

Javed Hashmi has become a power monger and forgot that he was nominated and not elected. When leaving PML-N, he criticized it for being a non democratic party and then became president of PTI without contesting any elections. Also, he himself is a "peer" just like Shah Mahmood Qureshi and they have feudal mentality with loads of "Mureeds" all around in their constituency. PTI is no more a party of change and I am now disappointed with them.
So, PTI is lying about PML-N since inception. Thats what is stated by JH.
The Media loves this engineered clash between PTI and PMLN and try to align PTI with PPP. PTI is anti Status Quo that includes all parties in the assemblies! Hashmi was the only PMLN leader who fought for it on the ground when Sharifs ran away!

he was with nawaz sharif but not in a normal relationship as other members of pml(n). he challaged and disagreed with many policies of pml(n) although he was a part of it. also pml(n) belonged to him as much as it belongs to him. he was its chairman in the years of exile of sharifs. in those years he not only kept pml(n) united but also developd it further. moreover, he was with pmln because he could not find any other good alternative. when he found the alternative in the form of PTI he joined it.
So this means they have been lying about PML-N all this time........
@sgrr .... he was outspoken even in PMLN as well .. he asked nawaz sharif to apologise to people for helping zardari and running away to jeddah in public .. and he was in PMLN that time .. :)
So Mr. Hashmi in your own words there is no difference between you and PMLN as both are lying. And what you are saying about nawaz sharif now, you may start saying similar things about Imran Khan when you leave PTI.

I have the utmost respect for you sir.... But I must humbly remind you that truth can and should be spoken at all times. There is no good or bad time to start telling the truth. Infant it should be "Truth" that differentiates PTI from other parties... Don't you agree?

Instead of making baseless allegations against PMLN, PTI people should think about their own party. As PTI graph is falling rapidly because of such attitude of PTI leadership. But they are unable to learn anything.
I am so confused with this headline!! Is he implying that he has been NOT telling the truth until now?? I think what he means is that he will start divulging more information once PMLN run out of telling lies!! I bet he still can not keep Hanif Abbasi and Fawad Chaudry(PPP) quiet-they are pro at their jobs. PTI really needs to start "finalising" their strategy for elections now.
