Criminal negligence: Man, three buffaloes shocked

A man and his three buffaloes died after receiving electric shocks in Bhimber on Monday. Mohammad Siddique was taking his buffaloes to his dera when 11,000 volt electricity lines falling on the ground caught them. Residents of the area said the electricity wires had fallen off the poles the previous night, but Wapda officials had failed to take the necessary precautions. They staged a demonstration against the Wapda on Gujrat Road and blocked it for three hours.
