'Hoping for a better future' photographed by Laura Egerton, curator of Abraaj Capital Art Prize.

KARACHI: These pages carried a photograph titled ‘Hoping for a better future’ on November 16. The caption mistakenly said that the photograph was taken by Laura Egerton, curator of the Abraaj Capital Art Prize.

The photograph was in fact taken by 17-year-old Nireen Shehzad.

Dedicated to girls’ education campaigner, Malala Yousufzai, and to girls in Pakistan, who have been deprived of the quality of life they deserve, the photographer’s first exhibition was held at Ocean Art Gallery.

The error is regretted.
