ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan could assess Nigeria as a potential destination for fertiliser plants by taking advantage of optimal gas rates, said Ambassador of Pakistan to Nigeria Lieutenant General (retd) Muhammad Ashraf Saleem, who visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Friday.

Saleem said that he will pass on information to the Pakistani business community regarding trade opportunities available in Nigeria so that they can reap benefits and enhance trade ties.

Speaking on the occasion, ICCI President Zafar Bakhtawari said that it has been observed that Nigeria’s trade profile with India is sound and Pakistan can compete with India in Nigeria with its tradable products. He said that Pakistan needs to market its products in African markets to grab a piece of the booming African economy.
