Financial cutbacks: HDA to sack ghost employees
DG explains organisation could not afford to keep absent employees as it was already facing financial constraints.
HYDERABAD:
All ghost employees at Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) will be sacked, announced HDA’s director-general Syed Fazil Shah. “We will extend the contracts of only dutiful and responsible staff,” he said. The director-general explained that the organisation could not afford to keep absent employees as it was already facing financial constraints. He also asked the staff to ensure that pensions of retired and deceased employees were being paid regularly.
