PESHAWAR: The Peshawar Pearl Continental organised a musical evening for its clients, as well as aficionados of English and classical Urdu ghazal music on Sunday. This event was one of a series of entertainment programs organised by the hotel, catering to both modern and traditional sensibilities. Popular English and Urdu were featured, and a platform was provided for an underground Peshawar band to showcase their talent. English songs by Nasir Khan, 80s-era famous classical Urdu ghazals sung by Tina Khan, a few classical Urdu numbers from Tahir Khan and the introduction of a new pop band with vocalist Adeel entertained the crowd till late at night.  One of those attending, Asad Ali told The Express Tribune that “This is the first time I have attended such an event in Peshawar and I have enjoyed it very much. These peaceful entertainment events are seldom held here.”
