PML-Q claims that people are against the law

SHIKARPUR:

The Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid stated that the people hate the dual system imposed by the Sindh Peoples Local Government Ordinance. “Our party cannot stay quiet on the matter and not do anything about it,” said the party’s Sindh chapter president, Ghaus Bux Maher, at a gathering organised by the Maher-Kumario Ittehad in Dakkan city on Saturday. He added that the new law was a “conspiracy to divide Sindh”.

This gathering proves that people support us, said the party’s Larkana chapter president and former MPA, Sardar Zulfiqar Kumario. He added that there were some members of President Asif Ali Zardari’s ‘team’ who are involved in corruption and are destroying Pakistan. “The PPP did not accept the local government system during Pervez Musharraf’s era, yet it has introduced almost the same system.”

PML-Q MPA Shaheryar Maher also spoke at the event and said that the government was dividing the province into two pieces. “A conspiracy is being hatched to make a new country. No ideas will dare materialise till Sindhis are alive,” he said. He added that Sindh Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani misguided the president about the act and that he was involved in nefarious activities.

Others who spoke at the event included, Sardar Himat Ali Khan Kumario, Muhammad Arif Khan Maher, Najaf Kumario and Mumtaz Mangi.
