The case of advocate Malik Nasser's murder has been registered on the complaint of the victim's brother Shoaib against four named and five unknown individuals at Soldier Bazaar police station.
According to details, Malik Nasser Advocate was shot dead in the parking area of a residential apartment in Garden East, Soldier Bazaar, on Saturday night. Evidence is being collected, and further investigation is underway. The police have arrested Mohsin, the main suspect involved in the murder of Advocate Nasser Malik.
According to SSP East Dr. Farukh, the arrested suspect is a close relative of the deceased advocate, and preliminary investigations suggest that the incident appears to be a result of personal enmity. Following the incident, the Additional IG and SSP East have suspended police officials including the SHO for negligence and incompetence, with two of them being sent to the B Company.
The SSP East's spokesperson stated that Inspector Waqar Azeem had shown negligence in arresting the killers of Advocate Nasser, who was murdered two days ago, and failed to apprehend the suspects.
The Karachi Bar Association has withdrawn its call for a protest demonstration outside the Chief Minister's House after the police arrested the facilitator involved in the murder of senior lawyer Khawaja Shams al-Islam. The police also arrested the killer of Advocate Nasser Malik.
The KBA is observing a strike in courts across Sindh today.
