A woman was killed by her cousin for marrying someone of her free will in Bunda Wara Khoso village near Moro Town, Naushehro Feroze. Azizullah Khoso shot dead Zahida Khoso, wife of Habibullah Mubejo, in the limits of Shadhuja police on Monday.
He then called the police and claimed that the killing was a matter of honour (karo kari). The police said that Habibullah and Zahida had requested the court for protection and she was sent to a Darul Amman.
She was, however, handed over to Azizullah a few days later with the assurance that she would not be harmed while in his custody.
