Karachi violence: Shia leader among 5 killed in city

Allama Aftab Haider Jafri killed in firing in Saddar; 3 gunny-bagged bodies recovered.

KARACHI: Two people, including religious scholar and leader Allama Aftab Haider Jafri, were killed when unidentified men opened fire on their vehicle at a car parking in Saddar, Express News reported on Tuesday.

The second man was identified as Mirza Shahid Ali who works at a private bank.

Allama Aftab Haider Jafri was a leader of the Jafria Alliance.

Meanwhile, three gunny-bagged bodies were recovered from Karimabad. All three deceased were shot in the head.

Police shifted the bodies to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Earlier this year, Jafaria Alliance leader Mohsin Rizvi was attacked along with his son by unknown assailants near Patel Para as they were commuted between  Golimar and their home near Islamia College.

Previously, six people were killed in firing incidents across Karachi, while five, including a police official, sustained injuries.

Two bodies were recovered in gunny bags from the Garden East area of Solider Bazaar.

According to police, the victims were first tortured and then shot dead.

Shias are only 20% of the population but open up any newspaper or any news site and you can image how many of the killed are shia and that too because of their FAITH. other sunnis are most likely being killed by the wahabis too. its unfortunate the shias and sunnis can't unite and fight and wipe out the wahabis that are being funded by the gulf states.
