In police raid, kidnapped woman makes safe exit

The captor was shot injured but managed to flee.

A woman who was abducted three months back, escaped the custody of her captors during a raid in Siran valley.

Police quoted Ali* as saying that Sher Zaman alias Shera abducted his younger sister Sana Bibi*,19, and took her to a forest where he forcibly solemnised nikah with her. However on Tuesday, the police raided Shera’s hideout and shot him injured. While taking advantage of the opportunity, she managed to escape and reach home safely.


Meanwhile, a man was arrested for allegedly impersonating a government official and swindling money from people by promising them jobs. During a raid, police arrested a man claiming to be the director of Federal Investigation Agency while he was allegedly receiving money from a man in the name of getting him a job in a government department. The accused was identified as Babar Shehzad and a case was registered against him under sections 419, 420 of the PPC.
