GHALLANI: After its much-hyped peace march, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) organised a public gathering in tehsil Pandiali in Mohmand Agency on Tuesday. A PTI leader in the Federally Administered Tribal Area (Fata), Dr Basheer, said that Pakistan’s foreign policy had failed to stop drone attacks in the tribal belt. “Fata has become a battlefield for the US and its allies,” he said. Dr Basheer spoke highly of PTI chief Imran Khan and said he’s a “bold leader”, further claiming that Imran had managed to halt drone strikes. “The caravan to Fata was aimed to attract global attention towards the brutalities faced by the tribal people, but we were not allowed to enter Waziristan,” he said. He further said that tribesmen must be taken on board before making amendments to the Frontier Crimes Regulations.
