Minority interests: Hindus seek govt protection

A 15-member committee had been formed to assist the government in resolving the problems of the Hindu community.

KARACHI: The minister for excise and taxation, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, met representatives of the Hindu community on Tuesday and assured them that the government was doing everything it could to protect them.

The minister told the delegation that a 15-member committee had been formed to assist the government in resolving the problems of the Hindu community.

He also appreciated the Hindu community’s role in the development of the province.
