ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rehman Malik on Wednesday said that the government has not yet taken any decision to block cellular services during Eidul Azha.

In a statement, the minister said that a high level committee is examining security alerts received so far from across the country.

Malik said the government would take any decision after consultation with provincial government to safeguard and protect the lives of the masses.

He urged media to air or publish any news item after confirmation.

On Tuesday, an interior ministry official had said that cellular services will be shut in sensitive areas of the country, including Karachi, Lahore, some parts of Balochistan and the tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

But you are even you have been untrustworthy and incredible as you have been shown your this hypocritical attitude before and you shall block mobile services for few hours by taking this step suddenly by using any pretends and lame excuses......

What a great strategy. Shut down services whenever there's a threat, and then the government can pay less attention to actually dealing with the underlying cause. Only, we'll end up shutting them down forever if we ever hope for lasting peace...
