Unknown men opened fire in Machar Colony and killed 17-year-old Yousuf, while a body, bearing torture marks, was recovered from Lea Market area. The body has not been identified yet, but the deceased is said to have been abducted before he was murdered.
A 60-year-old man was stabbed to death by in Neelam Colony, Clifton. According to police, personal enmity led to the murder.
A woman was also stabbed to death in Abbas Town area, while another woman with her sustained injuries in the attack.
'Not every murder is target killing'
Speaking to the media in Karachi, Inspector General Sindh Fayyaz Leghari said that the media should not “label every killing as target killing.”
Leghari said that Karachi was not mentioned on the list of Most Volalite Cities of the World and that the murder rate of Karachi is way lesser than New Orleans, Washington DC, and Mexico.
Thirteen people were killed in firing incidents in Karachi on Tuesday, while Rangers rounded up several suspects during a targeted operation in Orangi Town.

Leghari said that Karachi was not mentioned on the list of Most Votalite Cities of the World and that the murder rate of Karachi is way lesser than New Orleans, Washington DC, and Mexico. LEGHARI is waiting for KARACHI to become one of the above .....only then will he start taking action.... speaks volumes about his commitment to the city i also fail to understand how come the bench did not call the CM & THE FED INT MINISTER.
Most of the killings in Karachi are of man which is a clear discrimination against woman. This shows the Pakistani society is male chauvinistic. We should learn a lesson from India in this regard.
