PESHAWAR: District and Sessions Judge Peshawar Shahbar Khan adjourned a fake degree case hearing against Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Minister for Sports Syed Aqil Shah. The hearing was adjourned on Shah’s request when a legal expert, Sabir, produced Shah’s written statement before the court. Sabir said that Shah was currently out of the country on an official visit and requested the court to adjourn the case hearing for a date after Eidul Azha. DS Judge Khan announced October 25 as the date for the next hearing. Earlier on October 17, the same court had issued Shah’s arrest warrant when he failed to appear in court. The arrest warrant was later withdrawn and Shah’s bail request was also approved against Rs400,000 with two reliable sureties.
