
“There’s little chance that Sebastien will continue given the slim chance he has to win the rally,” said Loeb’s Citroen team. Loeb’s car hit a rock which forced it off the slick, narrow road after just five kilometres of the 30 kilometre Monte Lerno stage.
The French Citroen driver was the overnight leader by one second from his Finnish teammate, Mikko Hirvonen, who now heads the field.
