Immunisation: 506,066 children given polio vaccine in Sialkot

The teams went door to door and took down names of children who missed the vaccine because they were not home.

SIALKOT/ GUJRANWALA:


Sialkot District Coordination Officer Zahid Saleem Gondal said that 506,066 children were administered the polio vaccine in the district. He said the children who could not be given the drops would be covered later. 


As many as 64 teams administered polio drops to 27,082 children in the eight union councils of Galiana in Gujrat.

As many as 1,450 mobile teams on Friday administered polio drops to children under fiver years of age in the national polio immunisation campaign.

The teams went door to door and took down names of children who missed the vaccine because they were not home. These children will be administered the drops after the end of the three-day polio campaign.

As many as 74 teams administered the drops to children the railway station, bus terminals, toll plazas and various markets.

The executive district officer health, the district officer, the deputy district officers and town supervisors inspected the teams at 16 points.
