The shop had earlier been looted in the month of February.
BAHAWALPUR:
Unidentified men on Wednesday night stole from Rim Jhim Store at the Fawara Chowk.
The shop had earlier been looted in the month of February. Another shop, Beauty Cloth Shop, in its vicinity had also been looted on September 20 this year.
Zafar Ahmad Ansari, the shopowner, told The Express Tribune that he found the locks on the shop broken when he arrived in the morning.
He said around Rs350,000 cash, Rs150,000 in calling cards and Rs100,000 in cigarette packs were missing.
“Our shop was burgled earlier this year but police made no arrests,” he said.
Muhammad Akbar Bhatti, the owner of Beauty Cloth Shop, said, “We registered a case in the Cantt police station but the recent theft means police have taken no notice.”
DPO Sohail Habib Tajik said he had directed the Cantt SHO Imran Siddiqui to provide security to the shops.
