Cricket: Titans too good for Auckland

An impressive bowling performance helped Titans register a dominating victory over Auckland Aces in their Champions League T20 match yesterday

Titans set a target of 173 with the help of Jacques Rudolph’s well-made 63. In reply, Aces never got into the match with wickets falling at regular intervals before finally being bowled out for 113. Farhaan Behardien, who scored a quickfire 48 off 32 balls, was declared the man of the match. Aces captain Gareth Hopkins was disappointed with the batting performance of his team. “The batting let us down,” said Hopkins. “We were happy to restrict them to 170. We have to move on quickly from this and think about the next match.”
