Special camps will be set up at eight cattle markets in the district set up for Eidul Azha. They will help prevent a potential outbreak of the Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever, Rawalpindi DCO Saqib Zaffar said in a meeting on Monday.
Zaffar said that they will set up “special facilities” to provide treatment to sick animals to prevent Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever virus from spreading.
The DCO also asked concerned officials to provide him a duty roaster the cattle markets.
He said he will visit these markets himself to inspect the camps.
Two cases of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever have been detected in the Rawalpindi region in the past six weeks, according to media reports.
