Former army brigadier Tahir Masood was kidnapped from Islamabad Expressway, while his driver was shot dead when he showed resistance, Express News reported Thursday.
According to police, Masood had left his residence in Defence Housing Authority (DHA) for work when four armed men intercepted his car and pulled him out.
When the driver and former army soldier, Ahmed Hassan, came for his defense, the gunmen killed him.
Police and officials reached the site to gather facts for investigation.
