Unidentified: Two more tortured bodies found

PESHAWAR:


Two bodies were found in Nazir Korona area under the jurisdiction of Daudzai police station on Wednesday morning.


Acting on intelligence information, police reached the area and shifted the bodies to the police station.

Police said the bodies were found covered in bed sheets and bore signs of torture. One of the dead is said to be around 25 years of age, while the other is said to be in his 30s.

The men have yet to be identified. “We are trying our best to find out who these people were,” said a police officer at the Daudzai police station.

There have been growing  incidents of such bodies in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, where more than 30 bodies have been found dumped in nearly three months. The Peshawar High Court took notice of the matter in September this year.
