Governor’s house: Evicted official cries foul

Additional District and Sessions Judge Safdar Ali Bhatti has sought comments from the Civil Lines SHO for October 15 on a petition filed by a protocol officer accusing Governor’s House officials and police of kicking him out of his house without warning and stealing from him.



Petitioner Mulazim Hussain, a protocol officer at Governor’s House, has asked the court to order cases against Civil Lines Magistrate Khalid Ayaz, Governor’s House DSP (Security) Javed Shaikh, GH Under Secretary Muhammad Saleh Tahir and Personal Staff Officer to the CM M Nawaz, the Civil Lines SHO and other policemen.

Hussain said that they had barged into his house on Governor’s House property and beat his wife and daughter. He said that they had no warrant and had not warned him about the eviction. He said that the policemen had stolen American dollars worth Rs100,000 and other foreign currency worth Rs165,000 from his home. They had also lost some of his items during transport.
