LAHORE: Additional District and Sessions Judge Abdul Qayyum Khan on Monday adjourned until October 10 arguments on an acquittal application filed by Shan Khusro, son of former Lahore commissioner Parvez Khusro, who is accused of murdering his classmate.

Shan Khusro said in his acquittal application that he should be released as the police had no evidence to establish murder. Copies of the case record had been handed to the accused at the previous hearing. According to the FIR registered on the complaint of the victim’s father Fazal Elahi, Hamza Elahi went out with Shan Khusro on the night of June 2 and had been found dead the next day. Khusro told the police that he had shot his friend accidentally and, in a panic, pushed his body out the car and fled.
