Oslo-bound: Two held with forged documents

RAWALPINDI: Two men were arrested for trying to board a flight to Oslo on fake passports on Saturday. Ahmed Ali and Ghulam Murtaza were held by the Federal Investigation Agency before boarding PIA flight PK-771 at the Benazir Bhutto International Airport. The two men were posing as employees of the federal information ministry and were carrying blue passports. Blue passports are issued to bureaucrats, senators and members of the national assembly. The FIA immigration staff tried to verify the status of the passports but could not find records of them being issued. Other travel documents on the two men were also forged, said an FIA official. The two were taken into custody after interrogation. The police also arrested their handler and agent, Abdul Qadeer. The two alleged that Qadeer prepared the fake documents, FIA said.
