Groundbreaking: AJK PM initiates three mega projects

Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed performed the groundbreaking of three development projects in Muzaffarabad on Sunday.
The projects include a water supply scheme costing Rs1.35 billion, a sewerage system costing Rs2.45 billion and a bridge adjacent to AJK Central Press Club at a cost of Rs356 million.
The prime minister said the government aims to make Muzaffarabad a model city and will also initiate a number of welfare projects across AJK.
“The people of AJK state gave us mandate and we are answerable to them,” he added.
Majeed said 40 projects under the Muzaffarabad City Development Programme (MCDP) have been initiated and hoped that all 104 projects planned under MCDP will be completed within the shortest possible time.
He said the mega projects will improve the living standards of the people of Kashmiri and help lessen unemployment in the state.
