QUETTA:

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) raided the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC) offices on Thursday and confiscated the examination records of the last two years as part of an investigation into irregularities in appointments.

The move came in the wake of protests against nepotism in the recently held tests for section officers.

On Tuesday (September 25), results for the tests held for the selection of Section Officer BPS-17 were announced by the Commission wherein the sons of BPSC member Asad Khan Luni, Deputy Director Examination BPSC Abdul Wahid, nephew of BPSC member Inyatullah Chengazi and son-in-law of Luni clinched the open merit seats.

The results infuriated the candidates and drove them to BPSC and the local press club to protest.

In an earlier incident the commission had recommended appointment of BPSC chairman Muhammad Ashraf Magsi’s daughter and son to the post of head teacher BPS-17.

Talking to media, NAB deputy director operation Ziaullah said that they had received a flood of complaints about alleged irregularities in the commission. “We have taken into custody the record of two years and whosoever is found guilty of any irregularities shall be dealt with strictly,” he said.

He also invited the candidates and others to share with NAB any evidence they had against the commission.

We are anxiously waiting for the result of BPS-17 Divisional Officers,Department of Environment Sports & Youth Affairs, conducted by BPSC but its result is not yet declaired. After getting awareness of such shameless acts of the High Officials of BPSC we can't expect a true and fair result of the said exam and we suspect that the deserving candidates will be deprived once again in the same manner. Kindly expel such black sheep permanently from such high profile Organisation. Thank you

Baluchistan Public Service Compassion used to be forum for the appointments on Merit basis. Including our society I as a Member of this society feel so sorry regarding the recent appointments made by the BPSC. Even it is not easy to believe that such a institute is involved in appointments on near and dear basis . but the recent appointments of their close relative compel me to believe that the exams of section officers were not fair or merit basis . as The NAB Baluchistan has confiscated the entire record of the past exams. The faces should come before the public , who are guilty of such blenders. and the wrong doer must face the consequences of such appointments . The Baluchistan Government should facilitate the NAB authorities regarding recording the Evidence . after recording of such evidence, exemplary punishment should be awarded to such black sheeps. The Province of Baluchistan is in Crisis ,Numerous reason could be pointed out, one of them is violation of Merit. The Province of Baluchistan is not position to bear such irregularities.
