Sustained success: Kayani visits South Waziristan

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani interacted on Friday with commanding officers of formations and units deployed in South Waziristan during a visit there.

The army chief emphasised the importance of sustaining the successes achieved in recent years against terrorism, until the scourge is stamped out. He also urged continued support of the public and development of the area, saying it was as important as military operations against miscreants.

He lauded the sacrifices and efforts of the army in the fight against terror. Earlier, on arrival at Dera Ismail Khan, General Kayani was received by Peshawar Corps Commander Lt General Khalid Rabbani.
