The team has to pull up its socks and work on its bowling at the death, said India’s batting sensation Virat Kohli, according to NDTV.
The 2007 World Twenty20 champions saw Pakistan overhaul a 186-run target after their top-order had been dismissed in a warm-up game, while Afghanistan, too, gave a scare before going down by 23 runs in the group opener. With the bowling tipped as India’s weak point, Kohli said the unit needed to get its act together.
“Our bowling hasn’t been bad,” said Kohli. “It’s the death bowling we need to work on. I think Zaheer Khan has done well but our bowlers need to work a bit more at the death of an innings.”
