PIA flight lands back in Karachi due to technical fault

KARACHI: A PIA flight, scheduled to go to Islamabad from Karachi, landed back at its departure airport on experiencing a technical fault, reported Express News on Monday.

The flight was already 20 minutes late and was landed back 15 minutes after its departure.

Earlier this month, a PIA flight’s departure was delayed for two hours after a bomb threat. The flight, going from Lahore to Karachi, was given the go-ahead for take-off following a thorough search of the aircraft by the Bomb Disposal Squad.

Another PIA flight skidded off the runway at Lahore airport last month due to heavy rain. It was carrying 42 passengers and four crew members who all remained safe in the incident.

Gah, what is it with the maintenance crew of PIA that can never keep a proper check on these flights??

Any of my relative flying from PIA always keeps me worried.

The problem is PIA engineering, it seems. It looks like they are totally inept and corrupt - a shadow of their former self when they were one of the top engineering outfits worldwide. Corruption afterall trickles down.
