A man was shot dead and his brother was injured on Wednesday in Dijkot for stopping a man who had been harassing their cousin. Police said that Khurram Shehzad, a resident of Sufiyan Town, had been harassing Ambreen Bibi, a widow in the same neighbourhood.
They said he had followed her on several occasions. They said Ambreen Bibi complained about him to her cousins, Rashid and Faqeer Hussain. When they stopped Shehzad from stalking their cousin, he shot the two brothers. Shehzad was caught by some neighbours and handed over to the police. The injured were taken to a hospital, where Rashid succumbed to his injuries, while Hussain was reported to be in a critical condition.
