Dispute: Two women killed, one injured

A man stabbed his sister in Waryam area on suspicion that she having an affair with a man from neighbourhood.

FAISALABAD: Two women were killed and another was injured by their brothers in two incidents on Sunday. A man stabbed his sister in Waryam area.  Police said that Fayyaz Manzoor, a resident of Chak 494, suspected his sister, Rukhsana, of having an affair with a man from the neighbourhood.  They said on Sunday Manzoor had an argument with her sister over this and he stabbed her. The body was sent for a post-mortem examination. Manzoor is at large, police said. Elsewhere, a man shot dead one of his sisters and injured another following an argument in Chak Jhumra. Police said that 28-year-old Sonia, a resident of Chak 186-RB, quarrelled with her brother, Sultan, after which he shot her. Their sister, Sakina, 16, who rushed to save Sonia, was also hit. They were taken to a hospital, where Sonia succumbed to her injuries. Doctors treating Sakina said that she was in a critical condition.
