SUKKUR: A girl and two men were gunned down over the pretext of karo kari in the katcha area of Keti Mangi Mari in the Khairpur district on Tuesday night, said the Mangi Mari police. Sources claim that some members of Shikarpur’s Rind tribe were camping in the katcha area for over a month. One of them was Nadir Rind, who suspected that his 18-year-old cousin Sharma, was in a relationship with Ghulam Haider Rind. When he saw them together, he ran to his hut to get his gun and killed them. Hearing the gunshots, other tribesmen also started firing and a man identified as Shakar Rind was killed in the crossfire. Ghulam Akbar Channa, a tribal elder, took the bodies to the taluka hospital. The police took Nadir into custody but no case was registered. The Rind tribe is a group of nomads who travel from one city to another in search of food.
