Fed up with the injustice, a Hindu rape survivor has warned she will commit suicide by setting herself on fire outside the Supreme Court building.
The married woman was allegedly gang-raped by influential men of the Allah Rakhio Mahar village. The family went to the police, who refused to register the case against the suspects.
When they filed a complaint in a Khaipur court, the Bheels were beaten and forced to flee their homes.
Talking to the press outside the sessions court building on Monday, the woman said that police were not taking action against the culprits as they supported the criminals. “I lost my honour and shelter as well, but the law isn’t coming to help me,” she complained. “I fear they will kill my husband and other family members.” The woman said that the elders were trying to pressure the family into talks with her rapists. “I’ll even go to the Supreme Court for justice and will commit self-immolation if the culprits are not arrested,” she warned.

This is not an issue of religion, no religion supports such cowardly act against woment, islam in particular teaches the equality and honour of the women. The root cause is the culture which has been deep rooted particularly in the villages. Yes ulema's are at fault since there is only a minority who are servising islam other are doing politics and that too shamelessly. The lessons of islam have been forgotten, some ill minded opportunists have twisted the religion interpretated according to their requirments. In this material world all are after worldly benefits. The teaching and respreading of real islam has to be made priority by the ulemas.

Pakistanis need to be more mature in matters of state and justice....otherwise, what is is the purpose of seeking a separate state in 1947? People commenting here seem to be confused. The lady in question is PAKISTANI, not Hindu or Muslim. The honor of a lady was shred to pieces and u question her faith? A woman should be be safe in a Muslim country, whether she be Hindu or Muslim.Just because she is Hindu, people are taunting her about India being her country.This mentality need to change...u have created chasms because people are sindhis, balouchis, pathans, punjabis or mohajirs and to top it, you mud-sling everyone because they are Christian, Hindu, Jew or Muslim of a different sect.Let the Almighty judge...dont play God and Pakistan can only then prosper. This woman should conduct her protest in front of the residence of Mr.Chief Justice of Pakistan because he is one who pose like he is the saviour of Pakistan.

Gentlemen, while this event is condemnable, the refusal of the police to register an FIR has nothing to do with her being Hindu. They would have refused even if she had been Muslim because apparently, the other party is pretty influential and unfortunately, that's how things work in Pakistan...

If you feel you were justified in dividing India in 1947 to protect your rights.,,why dont you divide Pakistan and allow the Hindus,Muslims and Shias a small area to prevent them from building a model Islamic state??

Also you well understand that had she been Muslim the police station would have been razed for not accepting the FIR. .Instead of blaming ET Blame the police and if you are a true Muslim condemn the rapist and also take steps for the justice to weaker section of society than simply giving comments on the net or lamenting for the incident. Silent spectators of majority too are responsible for such sorry state of affairs.
Had it be done against muslim india, there would have communal riots. Simple issue like commenting by hindu boy to muslim even lead to riots in india.Pakistan Hindus are minority, they know they can't take on majority.
