Threats being faced by Pakistan discussed during meeting, says Dr Farooq Sattar.
ISLAMABAD:
A three-member delegation of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) held a meeting with Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leaders in Islamabad on Tuesday, in efforts to bring together all political and religious parties for “national unity”.
The MQM delegation comprised of the party’s Deputy Convener Dr Farooq Sattar, Federal Ports and Shipping Minister Senator Babar Ghauri and Senator Tahir Mashhadi.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Dr Sattar said that the agenda of the meeting was to discuss Pakistan’s security and stability. “We discussed the current situation of the country, and also forwarded MQM chief Altaf Hussain’s concerns about the internal and external threats being faced by Pakistan.”
Reiterating Hussain’s statements, Dr Sattar said that the security and stability of Pakistan will be in grave danger if the current law and order situation prevails.
“We are working on a national agenda,” he added.
