Manager of the Pakistan cricket team, Naveed Akram Cheema, said that the management was awaiting the doctor’s feedback on injuries Afridi received during the third and final ODI against Australia.
The availability of the all-rounder depends on the doctor’s feedback on the two stitches he received on his left hand thumb.
“We will take a decision after hearing from doctors,” Cheema told The Express Tribune from Dubai.
The T20 series will start on Wednesday, September 5 and end on September 10.
Meanwhile, another official associated with the team feared that the former captain might miss out on a couple of matches.
“Normally, stitches require three to five days to recover and Afridi might not be available for the first two matches.”
